Hello, this is JZ, and I create one-of-one bootleg handcrafted art collectibles of your animal companions in their everyday elements.

I’m accepting not just pets, but also community cats, rats, snakes, rocks, objects, and even plush toys.

These are not toys made for play, but handcrafted display pieces made to live alongside your existing collection, hang on your wall, or sit on your office desk.

how it started

In April 2026, I exhibited a series inspired by the neighbourhood cats I grew up with, titled “I don’t own cats but I grew up with them.” The three handcrafted pieces were part of TOKONOMA’s all-cats group show, “TOXOPLASMOSIS.” By the end of the exhibition, two pieces had been adopted, while one (my favourite) returned home with me.

The response to the series inspired me to extend the project beyond the gallery space. Through Bootleg Pets, I now hand-sculpt and assemble one-of-one collectibles individually, allowing pet owners to own a handcrafted art object inspired by their companions in their everyday moments.

Prices are listed in SGD

  • Upload 1 photo per pet. The photo will be used as-is and interpreted as a sculpture.

  • Dogs, cats, community cats, plushies, rocks — anything is welcome.

  • Work will only begin once payment has been made.

  • Each piece is individually hand-sculpted and assembled by me. Please allow 1–2 weeks for completion.

  • All pieces are artist interpretations and not exact replicas.

  • All sales are final.
